Atakuny Village
Aged Care Facility
The Atakuny Village caters for Napranum Aged and Disabled Community members who want to live independently in one of our single, ensuited, partially furnished rooms. Rent is payable by Centrepay fortnightly and payable in advance.
The occupant is responsible for purchasing their own consumables: toiletries (soap, shampoo, shaving gear etc.), toilet paper and other personal items. Each room is fitted with personal duress buttons for 24hr monitored security.
We currently provide the below community services:
- CHSP – Commonwealth Home Support Program
- NDIS – National Disability Insurance Scheme
- HCP – Home Care Packages
- QCCS – Queensland Community Care Services
The village provides the following services to the community:
- Meals on Wheels – Monday to Friday to Community – 7 days a week for live in clients
- Transport
- Domestic Assistance
- Social Support – Individual
- Social Support – Group
- Personal Care
- Medication Assistance
The gates to the Centre are locked every evening at 5:30pm and opened again at 7:00am.
No alcohol is permitted at the village, in the vehicles or on the premises. Any residents who return to the Centre under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be refused entry.
Residents are responsible for cleaning their rooms and doing their own laundry. Those residents funded by NDIS or Home Care Packages will have the costs of cleaning, laundry and other care services deducted from the package or plan funds.
